Опис індексу
Core Personal Consumption Expenditure Price Index, also known as the core PCE deflator, is an index that tracks price increases across a wide range of US goods and services that are consumed by American consumers. The underlying index does not take into account the change in prices for goods of the volatile group: seasonal food and energy. Personal consumption spending is an important component of US GDP. The growth of this index reflects inflation of personal consumption, excluding the volatile group of goods and is used by the Federal Open Market Committee of the US Federal Reserve System in its decisions on monetary policy. The core personal consumption expenditure index should not be confused with core consumer inflation data published by BLS and calculated using a different method. 2017 is the base year (index equals 100), the source uses seasonal adjustment.
