Lamb (World Bank)

The Lamb (World Bank) index represents the price of frozen lamb cuts imported from New Zealand into China and serves as a benchmark for the global lamb market in the agricultural sector. In 2025, prices ranged from 5.61 USD/kg to 6.45 USD/kg with an average level of 6.08 USD/kg. From January 2020: Lamb (New Zealand), flaps, in-market frozen lamb cuts, c.i.f. China imported; August 2010-December 2019: (U.S.) boxed lamb cuts, leg, double, trotter-on, less than truckload (LTL) pricing; previously: (New Zealand) frozen whole carcasses Prime Medium (PM) wholesale, Smithfield, London beginning January 2006; previously Prime Light (PL).
