This is an indicator that reflects the number of ounces of silver needed to purchase one ounce of gold. It is calculated by dividing the price per ounce of gold by the price per ounce of silver. For example, if gold costs $1,500 per ounce and silver costs $15 per ounce, then the Gold/Silver Ratio will be 100, meaning you need 100 ounces of silver to buy 1 ounce of gold. This ratio often increases during periods of economic instability and crises, reaching peaks during recessions.
