Orange Juice

The price is based on the continuous physically settled futures of Grade A frozen concentrated orange juice. The grading is performed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The juice is traded on the ICE exchange, delivered to warehouses in the USA. Allowed countries of origin: USA, Brazil, Mexico and Costa Rica. Insider trading in orange juice futures using USDA data is featured in the 1983 movie Trading Places. In 2010, the United States adopted the “Eddie Murphy Rule” (a section in the Dodd-Frank Act), which prohibits insider trading in the commodity markets based on illegal government information.
