The index represents the price of CFD for tea. Tea has no futures, prices are defined on individual auctions, or forwards are concluded between manufacturers and buyers, bypassing a commodity exchange. The main problems in the absence of tea futures: 1) There are many types of tea in every corner of the country, and mix them into one common grade can lead to unattractiveness for traders 2) The production of tea is much more stable than other soft commodities. Tea plantations are little depend on weather conditions, such as wheat, coffee or cocoa beans.
