LSEG Appointed as a Super Validator on Canton Network

LSEG today announces that it has been appointed as a Super Validator on the Canton Network. This expands LSEG’s existing role as a validator through the cash application of LSEG’s Digital Settlement House (DiSH) on Canton’s privacy-enabled blockchain network, purpose-built for institutional finance. Following the technical launch of DiSH earlier this year, this milestone builds on LSEG's ongoing participation in the Canton Network and underscores its commitment to developing secure, compliant financial market solutions. DiSH has already enabled participants on Canton to settle intraday repos in DiSH cash as part of Proof of Concepts (PoCs), offering an alternative to non-cash tokens such as stablecoins. As a Super Validator, LSEG will help strengthen Canton's infrastructure, support network governance, and collaborate with ecosystem participants. LSEG also intends to bring other services into the Canton Network, helping to advance its development and adoption across global markets. Bud Novin, Head of DiSH, Post Trade Solutions, LSEG, said: "DiSH is already demonstrating how regulated institutions can move value digitally within a trusted governance and controls framework. By becoming a Super Validator, we are strengthening our commitment to the Canton ecosystem and helping accelerate its adoption across LSEG businesses and clients. DiSH can serve as a gateway for institutional settlement and commercial bank money solutions enabling interoperable, multi-chain settlement while working alongside banks and existing market infrastructure." Viv Diwakar, Head of the Canton Foundation, said: “LSEG joining the network deepens our global reach across capital markets, post-trade and payments. The real opportunity is turning that connectivity into practical benefits for market participants across global markets and reducing friction. LSEG’s continued active engagement with the network, market infrastructure expertise and leadership in digital asset innovation will be instrumental in connecting institutions across markets and geographies, broadening participation in Canton and supporting our next phase of growth.”
