BTC/DXY Ratio is an indicator of Bitcoin’s relative strength compared to the US dollar, expressed in the number of US Dollar Index (DXY) units per one BTC, and serves to evaluate BTC’s behavior as a hedge against dollar weakness and a tool for currency risk hedging. An increase in the ratio indicates dollar weakness and growing demand for Bitcoin as an alternative reserve currency, while a decline signals dollar strengthening and capital outflow from risk assets into the US dollar during Federal Reserve monetary tightening, calculated as BTC price in USD divided by the DXY index value.
